Non-profit organizations must provide non-profit documentation. All setup and cleanup time must be a included in the charged rental time. Three hour minimum rental time will be charged for all weekday rentals. The Folger Home is managed by Heritage Avon Lake which is a 501C3 and is responsible for facility renovations. Non-resident Non-profit/Business/Bereavement If you are planning to use the gazebo for a rehearsal the night before your wedding you will have to rent that time block to guarantee availability.Īvon Lake Non-profit/Business/Bereavement You may want to reserve more than one time block if you need extra time to set-up, and taking down decorations or if chairs are needed. Veteran's Memorial Park Gazebo Rental Times: Reservations are taken in two hour blocks of time and each time block is $25.00 for a resident and $50.00 for a non-resident.
You do have the option to choose an all day rental fee during the week. Weekend and holiday rentals are all day rentals. All setup and cleanup time must be included in your charged rental time. Lake House and Folger Home Rental Times: There is a three hour minimum rental time during the week. Parking: There is limited on-site parking with overflow available across the street at the Old Firehouse Community Center (100 Avon Belden Rd.) and the old RTA Commuter lot on Lake Road, just west of the Old Firehouse Community Center. The gazebo is also a perfect location for graduation, prom and family photos. Veteran's Memorial Park Gazebo: This gazebo is designed for small wedding ceremonies and or wedding photos. There is a deck overlooking Lake Erie with rocking chairs in the summer months. There is a small galley kitchen with a refrigerator, warming oven, and microwave. There are 48 chairs, 8 (4') round tables, and 2 (6') serving tables. The Folger Home: This facility can accommodate up to 48 people. If you rent the Lake House and do not want another rental taking place during your event, we suggest you rent the Gazebo also. The Gazebo right next to the Lake House is not included in Lake House rentals. There is a patio overlooking Lake Erie with a large charcoal grill and five round picnic tables. There is a small warming kitchen with a microwave, refrigerator, and oven. The Lake House: This facility has tables and chairs to accommodate 72 people. There are 72 chairs, 12 (4') round tables, and 5 (6') serving tables. There is also a Gazebo that can be rented for small wedding ceremonies.
These popular rental facilities are often used for small weddings, showers, family reunions, graduation parties, meetings and other private events. The Lake House and Folger Home located in Veterans' Memorial Park are available for private parties throughout the year. The Avon Lake Boat Club offers small boat storage and at the western end of the park lies the historic Lake Shore Cemetery. Due to high water levels this year swimming is not allowed and there is no lifeguard on duty. There are charcoal grills for family picnics, a boardwalk, and park benches for viewing the spectacular sunsets.
Located at the intersection of State Route 83 and State Route 6 (Lake Rd.) this park offers grand views and wonderful access to Lake Erie.
